COSE1: Co-Op Socialisation Certificate

The goal of this 3 Hour Socialisation workshop is to ensure that all dogs and owners have acquired the appropriate fundamental skills on how to correctly and appropriate socialise in a group setting. These skills are vital for all dogs to learn and understand to ensure appropriate play with all types of dogs, build engagement with owners. Completion of this certificate provides access to Socialisation classes.

• Building and development engagement and play with handler in situations where dogs may have competing motivators
• Creating dog neutrality, self-independence and good decision making processes in highly engaging environments
• Understanding correct body language and what appropriate dog meets should look like
• Increase confidence when interacting and socialising their dogs with other dogs
• Appropriate and safe play, adapting and critiquing what this should look like
• Reinforcement of your dog correctly and what appropriate levels of play force should be used between dogs that are interacting together
• Understanding what uncomfortable body language looks like (precursors) between dogs and how to continue to build your dog’s confidence and socialisation skills
• Safe leash handling and all required safety knowledge of working with dogs in larger social settings
• Upskilling dogs social walking skills, collar and leash pressure and name recognition in a more stimulating environment

Co-Op Socialisation Session

Good socialisation skills require reps. Lots of them. Even if your dog has great socialisation skills, exposing them to other dogs less frequently will mean they come out of practice, just like any skills! These sessions are run by our experienced team to ensure correct and positive development for all participants whilst reducing the risks of the activity.

• Increase you and your dog's experience in social settings and social interactions
• Proof your skills against a large variety of breeds, energy levels and various social cues
• Structured access to the campus environment and relevant activities 
• One on one coaching and support in each session to provide feedback and increase learning efficiency
